MLTW administers mountain training schemes for experienced adults who wish to lead walking and rock climbing groups in the UK and Ireland. MLTW registers candidates who are experienced and interested in gaining a Nationally recognised award. Rock Climbing activities:For those who wish to supervise climbing activities on indoor or outdoor climbing walls and structures in the UK.
For those who wish to supervise groups on the single pitch crags, and walls of the UK and Ireland.
For holders of the CWA or SPA, who wish to instruct lead climbing on indoor climbing walls and structures.
Hill Walking activities: For those who wish to supervise walking groups in the moor and fell areas of the UK and Ireland.
For those who wish to lead groups in the mountains, hills and moorlands of the UK and Ireland.
MLTW approves Course Providers across Wales, and ensures the quality of the training and assessment courses. In partnership with the Home Nation Boards, we enter all course and registration details onto the MLT database.
We are based in Capel Curig, where we share our office with Mountain Leader Training (MLT) and Mountain Leader Training England (MLTE).
